It is a very well known and popular trek in Nepal. There are hikers wishing to reach and discover the higher altitudes while others prefer medium altitudes to discover on the one hand the panoramas on the high mountains and on the other hand to take interest in the natural and cultural diversity of the region. The trek begins from about 830 meters (Beni), then gradually increases altitude up to 3200 meters (Poon Hill). Tatopani, Ghorepani, Chhomrong and Ghandruk are the main villages.
Most of them are inhabited by Magars and Gurungs, ethnic groups with also some Brahmans, Chhetri, Damain.
The itinerary we propose is that of a classic itinerary for all types of hikers, and it can be increased or decreased at your convenience.
Day 1 - Kathmandu - Beni - Galeshwor (1400m) - bus + 0:40 walk
Day 2 - Galeshwor - Tatopani (1190m.) - 6 h walk
Day 3 - Tatopani - Chitre (2390m) - 6 h walk
Day 4 - Chitre - Ghorepani (2860m) - 2h30 walk
Day 5 - Ghorepani - Poon Hill - Tadapani (2630m.) - 6 h walk
Day 6 - Tadapani-Chhomrong (2170 m) - 5 h walk
Day 7 - Chhomrong - Ghandruk (1940m.) - 4h30 walk
Day 8 - Ghandruk - Dhampus (1650m.) - 6h30 walk
Day 9 - Dhampus - Pokhara (860m) 3 h walk
Day 10 - Pokhara - Kathmandu 6 h by bus or flight
