During this trek we will be able to discover the cultural and religious monuments including various monasteries of this region.


The majority of the trek will take place above 3000 meters. The trail is often up and down most of the time and it is therefore necessary that the hikers prepare physically before making this trek.


The itinerary we propose is of a classic duration: it can be increased or decreased at your convenience.

Day  1. Kathmandu - Lukla - Phakding (2820 m):
Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla early in the morning and then an easy descent to Ghat, Chaurikharka finally easy climb along the river Dudhosi to Phakding: 3 hours Of walking.    

Day 2. Phakding - Namche Bazaar (3445m):

An easy climb up Jorsalle, crossing several times Dudhkosi River to Namche Bazaar, a place known for its commercial activities inhabited by Sherpas who manage specific shops for hikers. The city also has numerous restaurants and cyber cafe, a bank, an ATM, post office, a monastery and a traditional market organized every Saturday by the local population: 6 hours of walking

Day  3 Namche Bazaar: rest day to acclimatize. Possibility of excursions in the vicinity  

Day  4. Namche Bazaar - Thame (3800m)

An easy climb northwards through a pine forest with a beautiful view of the Kangtega and the back of the Thamsherku. To the left crossing the village of Thamo good can see the Himal Tawoche. We drive along the Thame Khola river to Thame, the last sherpa village in the valley where one can visit one of the most important monasteries in the area, guarded by Tibetan monks: 5 hours walk  

Day 5. Thame - Khumjung (3780 m):

An easy descent by taking the same route to the village of Thamo. Then the trail climbs slightly towards a hill through a pine forest. Mountain birds like the impeyan pheasant (Danfe), the blood pheasant (Munal) and also one of the protected animals of the region: Himalayan thar (a wild goat) may be visible. Climbing up to Khumjung, a very special sherpa village in a valley at the foot of the Kumbila hill, you can visit a famous monastery with a head of yeti: 4 hours of walking.

Day 6. Khumjung - Tyangboche (3860 m):

We go down through the village of Kyanjuma and a small forest. We cross the river at Phungithanga (3250 m), a small commercial place for hikers. Then a steep climb for 2 hours to Tyangboche, a place well known to hikers for its important monastery on the historical level and by the reputation of its Lamas. There is a magnificent view of the summits Amadablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Kyantega and Mount Everest. 5 hours of walking.

Day 7. Tyangboche - Jorsalle (2740m)

Descent to Phungithang rather steep (3420 m). We cross the Dudhkosi River and climb towards the village of Kyanjuma. Then an easy walk to Namche. And to finish a steep descent to the bridge before Jorsalle where we arrive after an easy route. 6 hours of walking.

 Day 8. Jorsalle - Lukla (2840 m):

We left the national park and we follow an easy walk to Thadokoshi, walking through villages and Phakding Ghat, then a slight rise by Chaurikharka to Lukla . 5 hours of walking.

 Day 9. Lukla - Kathmandu: Return flight to Kathmandu from Lukla.
